Join us on 17 October 2014 to launch the FHN’s first edited volume, Broch& Carrol, France in an Era of Global War, 1914-45 (Palgrave, 2014) and the FHN Blog!

Where? Fyvie Hall, 309 Regent Street, University of Westminster, London. When? 17 October 2014, from 15h to 18h30. Why? There will be drinks and nibbles after the event. But more seriously, come hear Robert Gildea, James Connolly and Chris Manias talk about the volume. We are also delighted to announce the participation of three doctoral/post-doc researchers from France, Camille Fauroux (EHESS), Célia Keren (EHESS) and Claire Marynower (Sciences Po Grenoble), who will discuss their own research on the 1914-45 period.

  1. It is really great to see the FHN take off with such a splendid event of the book and blog launch organised on 17 October. Not only that but the FHN blog is a great way to communicate news, views and ideas instantly, such as this one: congratulations to all involved and thanks from the whole Society for the Study of French History and especially its President, Máire Cross.
