Society Publications
The Society currently has two principal publications.
The journal FRENCH HISTORY appears quarterly and offers almost 600 pages a year of the latest scholarly investigation of French History from all periods from the beginnings of Francia to the present day. It also contains a quarterly newsletter which highlights the activities of the society. Its book reviews section provides critical appreciations of a selection of recent published works. If you are considering submitting an article for inclusion in the journal, you will find detailed instructions (available in English and French) on our French History page. Similarly, if you wish to be considered as a book reviewer (and we seek to provide as broad a range of specialist reviewers as possible), you can contact one of the book review editors from this page.
The second publication series in collaboration with the French Colonial Historical Society is the STUDIES IN MODERN FRENCH AND FRANCOPHONE HISTORY monographs with Manchester University Press. Copies of these monographs are available to members of the society for individual use at 35% discount. To obtain the discount code, please contact the Secretary of the Society. For further information, and if you wish to have a manuscript considered for publicataion in the series, follow the link to our Studies in Modern French and Francophone Historypage.
